Frequently Asked Questions
Q. What is enamelware?
A. Our enamel campware is made from sturdy carbon steel coated in a layer of kiln fired powered glass, called enamel.
Q. What are those little spots and imperfections?
A. Each enamelware piece is dipped, finished, and printed by hand, meaning no two pieces items are exactly the same. Small imperfections are a normal part of enamelware and we hope you feel they add to the character of your piece. If you need perfect uniformity, enamelware might not be for you.
Q. How do I care for my mug?
A. Because they are made from a base of carbon steel, these mugs are super sturdy and easy to care for. The coating can chip if your piece is dropped, but can still be used as long as the chipped areas don't come in contact with food or drink.
Q. Can I put my campware in the microwave, dishwasher, or oven?
A. Microwave? Nope. Metal + microwave = lightning storm. Dishwasher? Yes! Though if your mug gets chipped, dishwashing may cause exposed metal to rust. Oven? Yes, these are actually great for baking and cooking.
Q. Where are your mugs made?
A. Our mugs are made in a FDA-certified factory in China, and designed and printed in Tacoma, Washington.
Q. Can I order a custom-printed item?
A. At the moment, we only offer custom printing for wholesale and bulk retail orders. Visit our bulk and wholesale info to learn more about custom printed mugs for your retail shop or company, or to inquire about a bulk order.
